Full recap

Bitcoin is heading into its third straight winning week, and the macro backdrop reads like a stress test nobody signed up for. Equities jerky, currencies shaky, bond markets doing their best impression of a haunted house. Meanwhile, the orange coin just... keeps winning. Almost like storing value outside the system works better when the system is visibly struggling. Novel concept. The G20 had some thoughts about China's export-heavy growth model, which is polite conference-speak for 'hey, you're flooding the world with cheap goods and breaking everyone else's industries.' China's response was to call the whole thing protectionism and pivot to complaining about U.S. Iran sanctions and European trade barriers. Classic move: get called out for playing defense, immediately go on offense about everything else. Premarket movers this morning include the usual suspects: AMC (yes, still), USA Rare Earth, Lululemon, and Adobe all posting big swings before the opening bell. Snowflake, Moderna, and Broadcom had their own moment yesterday. The market is basically doing fantasy football draft prep but with your retirement account, and the tiers change every fifteen minutes. Speaking of fantasy football, Dave Richard has released his final tight end tiers and Colston Loveland is in a tier all his own. Tyler Warren dipped 'a smidge,' which is the most fantastically passive way to say someone fell off. The TE position remains the most anxiety-inducing slot in fantasy, second only to checking your 401k on a red day. Wide receivers got the same tier treatment. Ladd McConkey climbed into Round 3, Davante Adams slid to Round 4. Every year fantasy managers treat these rankings like sacred scrolls and then their first-round pick tears an ACL in Week 2. The lesson never lands. Over in women's soccer, the UEFA Women's Champions League draw handed Arsenal a blockbuster schedule featuring Barcelona and OL Lyonnes. That is genuinely a murderers' row, and whoever designed that draw bracket either hates Arsenal or loves chaos. Possibly both. Fantasy baseball is also in the mix with Week 25 sleeper hitters. Lawrence Butler and Spencer Jones are among the recommended dart throws. At this point in the season, 'sleeper hitter' is basically code for 'guy who might not be terrible if the planets align.' Good luck out there. Bitcoin is still up.

Highlights

  • Bitcoin: three straight winning weeks while the rest of the macro circus juggles flaming chainsaws - turns out 'exit the system' was load-bearing advice.
  • China called G20 pressure on its export dominance 'protectionism,' which is a bold word choice from the country that invented state-subsidized everything.
  • Fantasy football tier lists are dropping like earnings reports - and both carry roughly the same predictive accuracy once Week 1 injuries hit.
  • Arsenal drew Barcelona AND OL Lyonnes in the Women's UCL group phase - whoever runs UEFA scheduling should be banned from poker nights.
  • Premarket movers include AMC, which somehow remains a publicly traded entity in 2026 - respect the hustle, fear the fundamentals.
